This paper examines the economic impact of post-harvest losses (PHL) in the vegetable sector, identifying key factors contributing to losses from farm to market. It evaluates the direct and indirect costs associated with these losses and discusses potential interventions to mitigate their impact on farmers, consumers, and the broader economy. By analyzing data from various regions, the study aims to offer insights into effective strategies for reducing PHL, thereby enhancing food security and economic efficiency within the agricultural supply chain.
