Justice (ADL) in Islam: A Panacea to Insecurity in Keffi Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, Nigeria

This Paper attempts to examine the concept of Islam justice is established so that the balance should not be tipped by love or hatred despite the differences in religion, culture, status or power, and the method chosen for this research are library and field research of which all the information were collected from primary and secondary sources. Keffi is a town located in Nasarawa State where different ethnicities like Hausa, Fulani, Gwandara, Yoruba, Apo, Ebra, Gwagi, Agatu, Mada, Yeskwa e.t.c reside. Relations are highly polarized. Politics, greed, vengeance and selfish desires have led to the situation of insecurity in Keffi. Many people are below the red line. Unemployment and deprivation of individual‟s rights in the area produce thug, in which jobless youth see thuggery as more profitable than anything including education. What is the remedy? Since Justice means placing everything in their rightful position or rendering everyone his due, suggestions are made on how to improve Islamic Justice (Adl) through achieving a vital state. A leader aims at evolving and developing well balance system of Justice which illustration was taken from the administrations of Prophet (S.A.W) and in order to admits Islamic Justice and Islamic morals in order to remedy insecurity problems centered the side of politics, morals and educational sectors in Keffi, as security has to do with self-preservation which implies a stable relatively predictable environment which individual pursue its objectives without disruption, harm, danger, injury, fear or disturbance. This research work cited the role, which the exemplary Justice of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) and Umar Bin Abdul-Azeez (R.A) will play in achieving the panacea to insecurity problems in Keffi Local Government Area.
