The Role of Science and Technology in Socioeconomic Development in Vietnam

In the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and globalization, science and technology play a pivotal role in socioeconomic development. In Vietnam, science and technology have significantly contributed to modernization, enhancing competitiveness, and improving the quality of life for its citizens. However, the exploitation and application of science and technology remain limited, posing an urgent need for research into its role to guide sustainable development. This article evaluates the current state of science and technology in relation to Vietnam's socioeconomic development, assesses its contributions, and identifies existing challenges. Based on these findings, the article proposes solutions to enhance the role of science and technology in driving sustainable and inclusive socioeconomic growth in Vietnam.
